FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Fairfield County until 7 p.m. Monday due to freezing rain and snow expected this afternoon and evening. A brief period of freezing rain is expected for an hour or two before quickly transitioning to sleet and snow, according to the National Weather Service.
