Shoplifting Tools, Meth Recovered During Arrest By Brick PD
A 32-year-old man from Central Jersey was found sleeping in his car and arrested on multiple drug and shoplifting charges, authorities said. At about 11 p.m. on Thursday, Brick police were conducting surveillance at 715 Route 70 when they observed a man sleeping inside a vehicle in the parking lot, a police department spokeswoman said. Police identified the man as Christian Vatovec of Manalapan. Detectives allegedly found a large quantity of methamphetamine inside the vehicle, Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli said; Detectives also found Xanax, Suboxone and a hypodermic syringe, she said. …

9 Men Indicted In Child Porn Crackdown, Central Jersey Prosecutor Says
A continuing investigation into illegal use of child pornography has resulted in nine indictments this fall in Central Jersey, authorities said. A Monmouth County grand jury this week returned indictments against two defendants charged with crimes involving distribution and/or possession of child sexual abuse materials, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said. Police Identify Driver Killed In Central Jersey Crash
Police have released the name of the driver killed in a crash on Route 33 in Middlesex County. Murray Lipman, 81, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Wednesday afternoon crash in Monroe Township, police said. Lipman, of Monroe, was driving south on Bentley Road when the side of his car was struck by the front end of an SUV traveling westbound on Route 33, police said. EMS crews were called to several serious crashes in Central Jersey, authorities said. A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday near 90 Wilson Avenue in Manalapan, according to initial reports The crash victim was taken to an area hospital, reports said.
